Super-size Family

Maybe there is/has been a larger family than this, but I haven't heard of it.

Fifteen kids; One hundred and seventy-two grandchildren. Amazing. That's an average of eleven grandkids per child. I'd say that she and her husband were wildly successful at passing on their faith to their kids.

Reginald, News for trivia has also made it to the supplement now...great@! another forum for good articles to read apart from theological ones. The guy at NewAdvent, (Brian McNight I think) also assimilates articles that I have subscribed too. I have always wondered what your age might be?

Congrats, then!

Hi Rickson,

Sorry for taking so long to follow up...

I have occasionally thought about posting more general-interest material here, and recently I've done it a little bit, but I don't know if I'll make a habit of it or not. We'll see.

One thing I'm inclined to avoid here is posts related to political stuff. In our day - here in the USA anyway, and in many other places - there is a powerful tendency to politicize everything, and to view everything from a political perspective. I reject this. Certainly politics is important. This is all the more true when the State is prone to injecting itself into every area of life. But it's not how things should be. On top of this, political subjects too often prove to create division where there should not be any.

Hello Hans,

Thanks for stopping by. Presumably your congratulations are offered to the family described in the post, and I wholeheartedly agree :-)
